Your adolescent Sim is not required to complete schoolwork, but they should do it on occasion

Your adolescent Sims can go to school the same way some Sims go to work in The Sims 4’s new update, High School Years. You can accompany them to influence what they do during the school day, impacting their relationships and academic advancement.

Notably, the adolescent Sim’s job tab shows that they have a daily duty to “complete homework” after every school day (as you’d expect from school). Though schoolwork for young Sims is not a new feature, it may be unfamiliar to players who have never had adolescent Sims.

Your teen Sim’s schoolwork will appear in their personal inventory as a small blue book. You may choose it and then click “do homework,” and your adolescent Sim will go to a nearby table to complete it.

According to our gameplay, not doing homework has no significant impact on the Sims’ academic success. Your teen Sim will advance in their job as long as they attend class. If you want them to increase their grades faster, though, they should actively do their assignments.
