Survival MMO The Day Before delayed to 2023

Fntastic's game features a new engine as well.

MMO open world The Day Before has been pushed back from June 21 to March 1, 2023, according to IGN.

The survival game by Fntastic and Mytona is also switching from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5. “The switch to a more powerful and adaptive open worlds engine will enhance The Day Before’s gameplay,” the businesses stated in a statement.

The same statement highlights the game’s pre-release success on services like Steam, claiming that “millions” of users have wishlisted it. It is presently ranked first on Steam’s top wishlists ranking.

The Day Before takes place in a post-pandemic world with survivors and zombies fighting one other, and has realistic graphics, gunplay, exploration, vehicles, and a survivor colony safe zone. Despite the somber atmosphere, the game’s marketing has been humorous with its song selections.
