Rick Sanchez will be joining MultiVersus’soon’

He'll be there with his grandson Morty

Rick Sanchez, the quirky genius from the hit Adult Swim comedy Rick and Morty, will be the game’s next playable character. We don’t yet know when the game will be released, but publisher Warner Bros. Games claims it will be “soon.”

Rick can be seen in a teaser trailer that was published on Friday. The event begins with a brawl between Wonder Woman and Reindog. Their fight is suddenly cut short as a green gateway appears, revealing blue humanoid extraterrestrial aliens known as Mr. Meeseeks. Rick exits the portal and lets out a huge belch at the end of the trailer.

According to his description on the game’s website, Rick will be a “mage / ranged” character. He is behind his grandson Morty, who was added to MultiVersus as part of the season 1.01 patch in August.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play fighting game with characters from multiple Warner Bros. properties. Rick Sanchez will battle alongside figures such as Batman and Superman when he arrives.
