Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s electric gym leader is a streamer, too

We're learning more about a Pokémon Scarlet and Violet gym leader ahead of the game's November 18 release.
Yes, The Pokémon Company just published a 14-minute video for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet last week — and this week, we’ve received another peek at the game ahead of its November release. The Pokémon Company is ratcheting up its information stream as the debut of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for Nintendo Switch approaches.
The highlight of The Pokémon Company’s latest film is a new electric-type gym leader named Iono from the Levincia Gym. Iono, however, is more than just a gym leader in Scarlet and Violet’s Paldea territory. She’s also a content producer and streamer who broadcasts from the “Iono Zone,” her beautiful, pastel-colored livestreaming setup that any Twitch creator would envy.
Scarlet and Violet will be available for the Nintendo Switch on November 18. The games are part of the Pokémon franchise’s ninth generation, sending players to the new Paldea area, which is inspired by the real-life Iberian Peninsula of Spain and Portugal. Grafaiai, Fidough, Paldean Wooper, Cetitan, Cyclizar, Smoliv, Lechonk, and Pawmi are among the new Paldea animals disclosed by the Pokémon Company. There are also the new starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, as well as Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon and Wiglett, a squirmy-looking Pokémon similar to Diglett.
