PlayStation Plus offers Slay the Spire and Robin Hood from April

SpongeBob makes another cameo in a free game.

In April, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive three games for free: Hood: Outlaws & Legends, Slay the Spire, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. All three will be available for download through the PS Plus hub on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 starting April 5, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Hood, developed by Sumo Digital, is a multiplayer PvPvE game for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 that will be released in May 2021. In the game’s medieval backdrop, players band together to pull off heists and other activities that, narratively speaking, fight back at and undermine the tyranny that rules the realm. Hood: Outlaws & Legends was unveiled during PlayStation’s August 2020 State of Play event and released nine months later to mixed reviews.

MegaCrit’s highly rated deck-building roguelite Slay the Spire (PS4) was released in 2019. Players face a randomly generated succession of adversaries and bosses while managing and arranging their card collection, which is where the fighting action takes place. In 2019, Slay the Spire was a Polygon Recommends title, and it later received many nominations from organizations like as The Game Awards, the DICE Awards, and the Independent Games Festival.

THQ Nordic’s SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom — Rehydrated (PS4) is a 2020 remake of the 2003 platformer for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and GameCube. Despite the fact that both the original and the remake received mixed reviews, the game has a cult following and is a favorite among speedrunners. SpongeBob just debuted on Xbox Live’s Games With Gold roster with SpongeBob’s Truth or Square, which is still accessible to those with Gold subscriptions until April 15.

Through April 4, PlayStation Plus customers may still download March’s games: Ark: Survival Evolved (PS4), Team Sonic Racing (PS4), Ghostrunner (PS5), and Ghost of Tsushima: Legends (PS4/PS5).
