In May, PlayStation Plus members will get access to three games: FIFA 22, Curse of the Dead Gods, and Tribes of Midgard. All three will be available for download through the PS Plus hub on PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 beginning May 3, according to Sony Interactive Entertainment.
FIFA 22 is the PlayStation 4 version of the game, not the PS5 version, however it can be played on the PS5 due to backward compatibility. The sport is now in the semifinal phase of the UEFA Champions League, with the final scheduled for May 28, which is likely why PlayStation and EA chose this month to debut FIFA 22. The UEFA Champions League and Europa League competitions, as well as CONMEBOL’s Copa Libertadores (South America’s club football title), are all represented in the game. If PS5 owners decide to switch to a newer system, their progress in the Ultimate Team and Volta Football modes will be carried over, but their game saves (in career or other modes) will not.
Curse of the Dead Gods is a roguelike, isometric dungeon crawler for PlayStation 4 that was released in February 2021 by Passtech Games and Focus Home Interactive. Players in it explore randomly generated dungeons in pursuit of wealth and powerful items. In addition to a health meter, the game contains a “Curse Meter,” which builds up and inhibits the player if they use black magic.
Tribes of Midgard is a PS4 and PS5 action RPG that focuses on survival and cooperative play. The game is heavily influenced by Norse mythology, with objectives including Yggdrasil (the Norse tree of life), the Jötnar (giants), and averting Ragnarok. Cooperative play for its Survival Mode and season-based Saga Mode enables up to 10 players in internet “tribes.”
Through May 2, PlayStation Plus users may get Hood (for PS4 and PS5), Slay the Spire (PS4), and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom — Rehydrated.
