Peter Capaldi of Doctor Who has a new time travel program, except this time he’s a serial murderer

Time travel, but make it wicked

The new program from Peter Capaldi is essentially identical to Doctor Who – if the 12th Doctor’s relationship with time travel was more philosophical and academic, and also if the Doctor was a serial murderer.

The Devil’s Hour stars Jessica Raine (Becoming Elizabeth) as Lucy, a detective haunted by nightmares who becomes entangled in the web of serial murderer Gideon (Peter Capaldi). It’s unclear if the time travel is real or merely psychological, but it definitely seems intense.

Nikesh Patel, who participated in Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral as well as a single Doctor Who episode (with Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor, not Capaldi’s), also appears in The Devil’s Hour. To flesh off the wicked Doctor Who parallel, The Devil’s Hour is executive produced by veteran Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat.
