Next year, Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 will conclude the anime series.
This is much too many sections for a season finale.
Attack on Titan will return for yet another “Final Season.” The series’ most recent installment, Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2, ended on Sunday, but it was swiftly followed by the announcement of a Part 3 series. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 is expected to conclude the anime series in 2023.
The original manga for Attack on Titan, on which the anime is based, has 139 chapters and ended in April 2021. The finale was contentious, and it is not as well-liked as the remainder of the series. It’s hardly unexpected, therefore, that MAPPA appears to be changing a few beats from the original material in its own rendering of the narrative.
Final Season comprises 28 episodes in its first two sections and has reached chapter 130 of the manga. With just nine chapters of prior material, it’s unknown how many episodes MAPPA intends to release with Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3.
We also don’t know whether or not this is the end of Attack on Titan. While the statement appears to imply that this is the end of the anime series, it’s unclear if it will truly conclude the plot.
In any case, we’re sure to learn more about Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 before its debut next year.
