Mando and Grogu are reunited in the Mandalorian season 3 trailer
D23 attendees also got a special preview
The Mandalorian’s Grogu and Din are back in the latest clip. The Mandalorian season 3 premiere at D23 showcases some of the next season’s action, but also sets up an all-out war between the Bo-Katan and the other Mandalorians. The second installment of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney Plus in 2023.
The short season 3 teaser begins off where The Book of Boba Fett left off, which was essentially an unauthorized half season of The Mandalorian. Grogu and Mando are back together and as happy as they can be, but their reunion hasn’t changed Grogu’s overall lack of training, and he’s still as rambunctious as ever.
Din appears to have been excommunicated from his cultish Mandalorian group and is now alone with Grogu. Rather of continuing their individual adventures, the couple joins Bo-Katan and hundreds of other Mandalorians in a series of conflicts throughout the clip. While the video does not explicitly state it, it appears that this season’s plot will revolve around the Mandalorians recovering their homeworld.
The Mandalorian season 3 will be executive produced and written by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, like with prior seasons. Along with Pedro Pascal as Mando, other actors such as Carl Weathers and Katee Sackhoff will likely return, along with a slew of new faces.
The Mandalorian season 3 isn’t the only Star Wars series set to premiere in 2023; Ahsoka will be released the same year.
