Fortnite guide: IO guards locations

We’ll show you where to find IO troops in this Fortnite IO guard locations guide.

The “Eliminate IO forces” Season Quest in Chapter 3 Season 1 of Fortnite provides you with 25K XP. Because the IO guards you’re pursuing are at those drill sites, this Season Quest neatly overlaps with the “Interact with a computer terminal at a Mole Team Drill Site” Season Quest.

FORTNITE IO GUARD LOCATIONS

As shown on the Fortnite map below, Fortnite IO guard positions are near Logjam Lumberyard, Sleepy Sound, and Greasy Grove.

In Fortnite Chapter 3 specifically, there are three IO guard locations:

• In the valley close to the mountain, east-northeast of Logjam Lumberyard.
• Along the road heading to the ocean east-northeast of Sleepy Sound (and north of Daily Bugle).
• Near the river southeast of Greasy Grove

The IO guards you encounter in these sites will be aggressive from the start, so be prepared. They also function in pairs, so you must kill them before they can heal each other.

INTERACT WITH A COMPUTER TERMINAL AT A MOLE TEAM DRILL SITE

The IO forces you seek in the “Eliminate IO forces” Season Objective are defending the Mole Team Drill Sites required for another quest, “Interact with a computer terminal at a Mole Team Drill Site.”

There is a computer terminal to communicate with at each of these places. It will emit a radar-like pulse for a few seconds, revealing chests, goods, animals, and, most importantly, other players.
