Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade comes to Steam

Square Enix's FF7 remake is only available on the Epic Games Store for PC.

Square Enix’s upgraded remake of Final Fantasy 7 will be available on Steam on June 17, the publisher revealed Thursday during a livestream commemorating the 25th anniversary of the original game. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, an enhanced version of the FF7 remake, will be released on Friday via Valve’s digital marketplace.

Final Fantasy brand manager Yoshinori Kitase stated during the broadcast that the Steam version is Steam Deck “certified,” which means it is “totally functional on Steam Deck, and works beautifully with the built-in controls and display,” according to Valve’s compatibility definitions.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade was first available on Windows PC via the Epic Games Store in December 2021, six months before it was released on Steam.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was published for PlayStation 4 in April 2020, over five years after it was initially announced. The next year saw the release of the PlayStation 5 version of the game, as well as its enhanced Intergrade edition, which included a new episode starring Yuffie Kisaragi. Square Enix later released Remake for Windows PC through the Epic Games Store.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is currently available on Steam. The Windows PC game costs $69.99 (like its Epic Games Store equivalent) but is offered for $49.69 (29% off) at launch.
