Enjoy the first trailer for Teen Wolf: The Movie
Someone has risen from the dead
There’s no need to wait for a full moon because Paramount Plus has just released the first trailer for its Teen Wolf film. The original TV show’s cast members, including stars Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin, joined series creator Jeff Davis for a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, where they relived some highlights and campaigned for their new film.
The trailer foreshadows the advent of a new bad guy, a danger so terrifying that it sends Scott McCall (Posey) back to Beacon Hills for the first time in years. Although Scott is now more of an Adult Wolf, with his own apartment in Los Angeles, he must push aside his unsettling memories in order to join the town’s other supernatural entities in order to fight against some new, as-yet-unseen threat. Derek Hale (Hoechlin) returns as well, but not for long, if this teaser is any clue – he’s seen crawling on the ground, bleeding.
The discussion was an emotional experience for both fans and cast members, especially after Davis announced the return of fan favorite Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), Scott’s first love who died in season 3. Reed reportedly fell into tears when asked if she would pick up her character’s bow and arrow again.
The gap between the series conclusion and this film was significant, but Davis indicated that this isn’t the Teen Wolf crew’s final adventure. According to Deadline, the writer-producer has previously stated that there has been “a talk about doing more.” Davis wasn’t sure he had a complete seventh season in him, but he described the film as a “mini-season.”
Teen Wolf: The Movie has no set release date, however it is slated to arrive in 2022. But there’s more exciting news on the way: Sarah Michelle Gellar has been cast in the spinoff series Wolf Pack, based on Edo Van Belkom’s book series.
