Can Hisuian Voltorb be Shiny in Pokémon Go Spotlight Hour?

Hisuian Voltorb will be in the limelight.

Hisuian Voltorb will be featured on August 2, 2022, and catching Pokémon will earn you double Stardust. In Pokémon Go, Hisuian Voltorb cannot be shiny (yet).

Voltorb in Hisuian form cannot be Shiny yet, but Voltorb in Kantonian form can. We’re not sure when the Shiny version of Hisuian Voltorb will be available, considering the Hisuian Discoveries event is coming to an end (shortly after this Spotlight Hour), and the only Hisuian Pokémon to receive a Shiny form was Braviary.

Catching ’em all is the goal of Pokémon, and in Pokémon Go, it means catching every variety, including rare Shiny Pokémon. Every Tuesday during Spotlight Hour, which runs from 6 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. local time, a single Pokémon will appear more often in Pokémon Go. Spotlight Hour is your chance to stock up on sweets, catch high-level Pokémon, and, if you’re lucky, catch a Shiny Pokémon.

ARE THERE SHINY RATES DURING SPOTLIGHT HOUR?

According to statistics acquired by Pokémon community The Silph Road, Shiny rates do not appear to be raised during Spotlight Hours. The sheer quantity of Pokémon that appear during the hour-long weekly event, on the other hand, increases your chances of clicking on a random Shiny. The more Pokémon you click on, the more likely it is that you will catch a Shiny Pokémon.

WHAT CAN I DO TO ATTRACT MORE GLAMOUROUS POKÉMON?

Unfortunately, not much. It appears to be a random event. Shiny Pokémon catch rates are determined by Niantic, and they are typically only increased during special events such as Community Days, Safari Zones, and Legendary Raids. There are no consumable items that increase the rate of Shiny Pokémon.

WHERE CAN I FIND A LIST OF SHINY POKÉMON AVAILABLE?

LeekDuck maintains track of the Shiny Pokémon that are currently available. It’s a useful visual guide that shows how all of the existing Shiny Pokémon appear.
